The Yearning for Silence by TAO Kang applies the gradient of ink to the magnificent mountain and river scene. In the distance stand the continuous mountains, on the black ground bizarre rocks are arranged, spot and rhombus pattern to present the stone texture. At the front, the images of animals are small and scattered which contrast with the vast landscape. TAO Kang adopts real field of nature instead of realistic figure or space to build the surreal Utopia. He invites viewers to this amazing scenery where time and space are still, to rest for a second, and get rid of the bustling world.
