TAO Kang combines the philosophy of Eastern ink painting to create a fictional space of landscape. In the work, Black Pond (2), he uses black and white as the main color theme of the picture, and through the countless dots of different sizes and shades of ink, he constructs a magical landscape of mountains. Two lakes are scattered in between, and the geometrically abstract patterns are like small islands. TAO Kang's landscape under his pen is filled with an ethereal and calm atmosphere and is both poetic and rational. He sees each ink dot as a moment in time, and by drawing these infinite dots, he lets the soul to be freed, guiding the viewer to obtain endless joy from within when viewing the painting.
