The mutual relationship between man-made objects and nature is an issue that YANG Zi-Yi continues to explore through creation. In Artificial Landscape-2, seemingly natural mountains meander on the artificial abutment creating this misty view. In contrast to the foreground, the Taihu stone is presents as an artificial animal shape. The yellow valleys and the orange sky remind the viewer of the unnatural places in the natural scenery. YANG Zi-Yi understands the coexistence of "man-made" and "natural symbiosis" between his personal feelings and artistic expression, and expresses his desire for nature by reorganizing and imitating nature.
