From the man-made traces, YANG Zi-Yi explores the conflicts and similarities between men and nature by using the urban space and architectural ruins as the theme. In front of the images of the work, Scenery on Chair-5, there is each a Taishi chair with oriental culture, dead wood, and Taihu stone. The background is an artificial landscape of mountains and rockery. The intertwining of the red and green intertwined rocks along with the ethereal smoke create a magical atmosphere. YANG Zi-Yi takes the elements from Chinese garden culture to present the artificial landscape that he personally likes. He tries to create an ideal nature that he is yearning for, looking for a pure land to enjoy in crowded cities.
