In Theatre of the Century: Animal Portrait (Hound), Chi chooses single hues to present a hand gesture, a shadow, and a blurred image of a face, juxtaposing the real with the imitation, building a theater-like venue into the scene. In his creative work, Chi plays an important role as he attempts to display the differences between the surface and the inner substance of objects by manipulating light and shadow, building a new world for us to view.
