LIN Yi-Chun’s artworks are inspired by paper cutting activities during childhood. Fragments of color blocks were used to assemble an abstract world of bright colors. Wonderful Moment - 59 shows brilliant color patches of various shapes arranged into a composition that resembles a disorderly scattering of colors. Color patches were scattered about in a disorderly fashion, covering the entire canvas and creating a montage that seemed to be straight out of a kaleidoscope. The color fragments symbolize the extended information perceived by the senses. LIN Yi-Chun used overlapping color patches in this work in order to convey a non-linear artistic narrative connected to fantasies of infinite possibilities.
