KAO Ya-Ting’s works have always focused upon the contradictory attraction and separation between the human race and nature, and the artist employs art to illustrate her fantasies and imaginations. In a world of an enigmatic purple shade and populated by strange plants, a beekeeper is depicted without any color and shown only with outlines, bending forward as he tends to his beehives. KAO Ya-Ting’s works express mankind’s fantasy of conquering nature and communicates her imaginations and observations of both urban and natural landscapes.
