LIAO Meng-Ling's The Smell of Drizzle is a printmaking work about leaves and fruits. She is good at capturing plant appearances from multiple perspectives and projecting her inner state of mind. A variety of leaves and fruits fill the picture, and blue-green, light gray, and dark brown blocks are layered to create a mysterious and quiet atmosphere. The seemingly independent plants are connected through flowing black and yellow lines. The lines symbolize the raindrops that are falling on the leaves and fruits and outline the plant's fragile but strong vitality. With her oriental charm, LIAO Meng-Ling tries to express that all the bittersweet segments of life will eventually leave a touching aftertaste.
