CHEN Ting-Chun uses a diary-like narrative to tell the story of a residence, illustrating the changing experiences when living overseas and generating a series of artwork that represents different types of residences. The Studio No.2 uses light, simple colors to portray the spatial layout of the room that seems to generate an alien and isolated atmosphere. The room is only sparsely furnished and offers few amenities, showing that the owner intends to move off at a moment’s notice. The clean rooms provide the necessities of life, yet lack a sense of belonging. Nevertheless, such furnishings are enough to satisfy a foreign traveler.
