CHEN Hung-Chun’s works render the intangible concept of spatial dimensions and convey his imaginations of extra-dimensional space of the Universe. Dimensional Mode V is a hexagonal composition with overlapping stacks of increasingly smaller hexagons, amongst which the galaxies and star systems traverse within. Changing shadows and brightness construct a maze-like space that far surpasses the possibilities of flat, 2D canvas. CHEN Hung-Chun translated the dimensional concept of physics into an artistic creation, transforming the visual and temporal experience of our daily lives and providing an imaginary concept art of the intangible realms.
