In The Final Overflow in the Floating of Sea Levels, CHEN Hong-Cyun attempts to express his state of mind through visual description. In this image, a stone wall encloses a sea brimming with seawater. Floating on the surface of this deep-blue ocean are a number of rocks of varying shapes and sizes, seeming to follow the motions of the water, but also remaining in a state of motionlessness. It’s hard to determine which way the rocks will move. This is a projection of the artist’s psychological state as he anxiously awaits and anticipates a brighter future.
