HSU Che-Yu’s artworks are related to the fields of painting, video recording, and spatial design, and often explore the process of artistic composition and observation. Casting a Pair of Breasts is a composition based upon social news, and depicts the victim, perpetrator, relevant evidences, and other key information that hint at the sequence of events that transpired. Nevertheless, the process was depicted according to the standard procedure of a media news report where falsehood replaced the truth that will no longer be presented. HSU Che-Yu used this metaphorical artwork to reflect upon and study the relationship on the reality of life and the falsehood provided by pictures and videos.
