LAI Shuai-Cheng is skilled in ink painting. Carnivorous Flower is created by the artist to depict her unique and imaginary companions. These companions come in different and wildly exaggerated forms with features that set them apart exclusively from each other. This composition includes a strange alien insect with a body assembled using leaves from which pairs of human legs sprout. LAI Shuai-Cheng believes that despite the odd appearances of her companions, each of them is blessed with unique ideas and temperament.
