Printmaker Liu Yu-Fang is known for her use of luscious colors and shapes, creating depths and layers that form unique visual spaces. In “ Chance Encounters”, Liu focuses on fish, which are commonly found in everyday life, and makes use of the Montage characteristic of printmaking to overlap the school of fish with text, symbolizing the come-and-go relationships between people that faintly intertwine within time and space.
