Artwork Appreciation
WONG Liang-Yuan used digital photo processing to create landscape artworks infused with his personal style. The Rain on Western Mountain shows a dark composition of alien-looking rocks that seemed to have been taken from the abyss. A spring cascades down the middle of the painting, while a strange, abyssal fish leaps across the painting, generating splashes of water. WONG Liang-Yuan uses surrealist digital illustrations to depict a ghostly show of the apocalypse as an analogy to human destruction of the environment and his helplessness towards the modern lifestyle.
