CHEN Ming-Te uses a meticulous and realist approach to capture ordinary settings during his travels. Backlit shows a row of houses behind a fallow field with the setting sun at the background, arranged in a horizontal perspective as seen by commuters traveling along the road. There seems to be nothing especially attractive or unique about this every day scenery, but the warm color tones and brushstrokes provide a unique sense of emotional harmony. CHEN Ming-Te illustrates observations of mundane roadsides observed during random wanderings to make up for missing gaps or interruptions during his travels, creating a unique style of landscape aesthetics.
