YEH Jen-Kun uses eastern gouache with ink and silver foil to paint the work Dusky, depicting the renmant of the building in cold, black and gray tones. Mottled walls, samely deserted room from broken window, cactuses grow in rows in front of the windowsill. The name responds to the work, in the corner of a distant city, faint glimmers echo with cactus’s vitality, growing and spreading. YEH Jen-Kun is constantly inspired by the observation of everyday space and architecture; the gray tone tells the temperature left by time on the building, in this way, it creates a tranquil sense of time and space, expressing the poetic and emotional experience of urban architecture.
