YEH Jen-Kun is skilled in using ink and glue paint to create works that focus on environments and sights that exist along the edge of urban centers. Warmth presents a café converted from a refurbished old house. The warm tones, well-arranged interior design, modernized wall surfaces, and spatial arrangements coexist with the old, traditional tiles, wooden benches, electric fan, and advertisements for tobacco and alcoholic products. A montage of old and new is stacked together to create mixed memories under the warm light. YEH Jen-Kun uses painting to record moments such as these to help extend old memories while adding meaning to newer objects.
