YEH Jen-kun’ s “Island Monolog” transforms urban dwellers into an island, and places it in a fountain in a corner of the city. Using grey and black as the main color tones, the artist presents a cold and dark atmosphere. Through this technique, the artist expresses how, in modern society, people and people are lacking straightforward and direct interaction, and therefore they are isolated and lonely. Every person is like a lonely and mysterious island in the urban jungle.
