作品賞析
HUANG Chih-Cheng draws inspiration from animal anatomy, flower sketchbooks, family photos, religious scriptures, and myths. The work Soma7/Soma8 is based on the story of the moon god "Soma" in Indian mythology. According to legend, the moon eclipses because Soma was cursed. In the dark picture, gold foil and ink are used to create two opposite sides of avatars. The avatars are patchwork and integration of various plants, geometric figures, and images. HUANG Chih-Cheng chose gold foils as the medium because of their fascinating color and the way gold conveys the contradictory concepts of eternity and rarity. The creative process was also the reorganization and renewal of his experience.
