PENG Hsien-Hsiang’s Stardust continues his concern for geography in the Night Mountains and Waters series conveying the deep emotions for the land and the close relationship between men and nature. With a rectangular canvas close to the size of the vertical scroll of the ink painting, he uses the texture of the oil painting to create a crepe texture similar to an ancient painting. In the picture, there seems to be a river that is flowing quietly at night, and the two islands in it seem to be illuminating in the darkness. The star shape formed by the connection of points and lines is facing the island. PENG Hsien-Hsiang constructs a contradictory landscape, conveying the suddenness and break between men and nature, classics and contemporary, tradition and unconventionality.
