HU Mei-Hua uses her experiences in nursing to highlight the resilience and infinite possibilities in life through abstract and semi-figurative paintings. The work, Homeless Cats Don't Cry, utilizes stray animals as targets for care and illustrates the sadness in survival. The gray-toned brushstrokes stack up a fuzzy image and exude a gloomy sorrow. Vaguely, the shapes of cats, people and other creatures are blurry and incomplete. HU Mei-Hua watches the stray cats from the cold winter to the hot summer and from being sick to exiting out of life, an exploration of life resilience and survival. With abstract lines, shapes and colors, she expresses the flow of thoughts, providing imagination for the painting and leading the viewer to ponder and cherish the essence of life.
