作品賞析
LIN Hung-Hsin uses painting as the main style and combines virtual and digital image vocabulary to present the inner psychological state of some kind of tearing in contemporary people. In the work Microcracks I, the main character at the center of the painting has his eyes closed, and the indifferent expression seems to suggest that he is immersed in his own state of consciousness. The face seems to be blurred and distorted due to noise interference; the body also seems to be affected by the attack of the virtual world, and it is encroached and replaced by black and white colors and the mechanical drawing program. The black and white colors of the main character bring out the vibrant background. Although the background is an urban streetscape, the color of the city has been distorted. The eye-catching digital color and artificial lights are more like the illusion created by the virtual world. LIN Hung-Hsin’s works fall in between the real and virtual world. The undistinguishable painting tells a chaotic state of confusion and division in the current society.
