WU Mei-Chi’s XYX-A Moveable Feast #9 is a visual experimentation using an arrangement of mirrors and everyday objects to create an image space filled with reflections. The composition shows transparent glasses of various shapes. Light and shadow afforded by the glasses add to each other through mirror reflections, transforming the original form of the material into a bizarre arrangement. Light, shadow, and glass objects complement one another to build a dazzling, surreal, and dream-like theme. WU Mei-Chi uses the camera to transform the XYZ dimension defined in mathematics to create a work that blends objects, space, physics, and our very minds.
