WU Mei-Chi’s XYX-A Moveable Feast #15 is a visual experimentation using an arrangement of mirrors and everyday objects to create an image space filled with reflections. The composition shows delicious looking fruits, transparent glass containers, and fabric materials with metallic threads and confetti. The brilliant colors of these objects are allowed to reflect and overlap each other, transforming the original arrangement of the materials into a bizarre pattern, creating a surreal and virtual world with powerful light and shadow effects of the glass objects. WU Mei-Chi uses the camera to transform the XYZ dimension defined in mathematics to create a work that blends objects, space, physics, and our very minds.
