HUNG Hsuan’s work, “The Restorer”, portrays a scene where a family member is undergoing rehabilitation. HUNG Hsuan’s works often make use of neon colors to present the external outlines and contours of the characters. While gofun paint was used to create a transparent and blurred atmosphere on the canvas, the artist is enamored with the fleeting and unique halo generated by combining charcoal lines, neon tones, and white patches. Instead of trying to simulate and recreate the realistic setting, HUNG Hsuan combines colors and lines to convey the scenery and emotions of her homeland.
