Artist HUNG Hsuan pays attention to various ambiguous statuses of paintings. Through different representation of painting techniques, she presents the transient and ironic moment of paintings. In her work Eighty Percent of the Elapsed, the raindrop on the windscreen makes the outsider isolated as an onlooker. The splendid colors in the raindrop form contrast and opposition and make the image shine with gorgeous halation and generate the delicate flow. The 80% of clearness and obscurity, the 80% of light and material express the delicate omen of mental sorrow before the completion of things. It is woven and presented in the vision of the heavy rain. It shows both random and conflicting atmosphere and peaceful and tranquil status. The artist adopts the alienated gaze to depict the visual moment in which things are passing away as people are distracted by detailed awareness.
