SU Tsu-Han creates models that focus on the relationship between people and the city. Recreation Room is a construction of a plastic, half-transparent material creating a virtual and artificial living space filled with a neat and fake lawn as well as imaginary yet unreal space. Many small figures are engaged in various recreational activities within this space. The establishment of cities is based upon human desires. Human inventions and installations, however, compress the living space. SU Tsu-Han uses a sweet vocabulary to create a seemingly perfect yet pseudo civilization to express the irony of human development while contemplating the rift between material lifestyles and human spirituality.
