LIN Jaw-Tsang uses daily objects in artworks, using a combination of different media to respond to creative mindsets while conveying personal reflections on reality and the external environment. Intertidal is created using a base of wooden boards, fabrics, and newspaper. Brown tones of different shades and intensities are used as the main themes and applied in swathes, dots, and flowing lines to create a primal composition with untamed textures. The artwork shows a lonely bird created using black brushstrokes standing by a lakeside of stone and grasses, conveying a sense of isolation. LIN Jaw-Tsang uses natural materials and a simple artistic vocabulary to convey his emotional ties with the land while conveying his inner memories and sensations.
