LIN Jaw-Tsang makes liberal use of materials to create the simple and rustic texture of natural landscapes and generate a mysterious and self-contained atmosphere. Having studied before in Spain, LIN Jaw-Tsang’s creative style was influenced by Tapies, and has demonstrated skill in using dust, soil, and other natural materials as the foundation to create a new possibility of aesthetic interpretation. Reflection uses a contrasting tone of gray as the main theme. Textures of paper and fabrics were used in combination with brush strokes to create a diverse range of textures. Different forms of wooden frames build the trails and fragments of collective memories in order to assemble personal and innermost knowledge. The assemblage of readily available natural materials helps establish the trails of collective memory and innermost knowledge amongst individuals.
