LIN Chao-Tsang has studied in Spain and is skilled in creating artworks using composite media to generate montages to repeatedly refine his personal memories, thinking models, and reflective approach. The combination of different materials serves as a media for presenting a condensed section of personal life experiences. In Pupa, subtle yet wild brush strokes conceal distinct yet bittersweet emotions. Like a scar upon the body that serves as the records of accidents and injuries, emotions are treated with compassion, self-pity, and delicate understanding. As time passes, the wounds on the heart become an itching scar which eventually closes to become a permanent mark upon the tissue. LIN Chao-Tsang has integrated his emotions and wounds into the painting to create an emotional personal citadel, leaving the viewers with plenty of space for interpretation.
