HUANG Po-Hao uses modern ink painting and clean, repeated brush work to illustrate everyday items. In No Title, the artist has reduced both his emotional state and artistic description of the subject to a minimum, using brushstrokes to improve the artistic narration as well as pure, simple, and sensual physical characteristics to de-emphasis the subject of the drawing. Visual experiences were simplified so that viewers are better able to appreciate the details and strengths employed in the ink structure as well as the underlying spiritual and cultural depths incorporated within the brush work. Each brush stroke is seemingly simple yet affects the entire composition, just like the vast expanse of life which is composed of an accumulation of seemingly meaningless chores that add up to become a vast ocean of experiences.
