Artist HUANG Bo-Hao’s Microcosm 12 is composed of densely packed black dots. In this piece, Huang carefully depicts the appearance of a shaved human scalp viewed from above. He composes the image by applying repeated points of ink. He wishes to convey more than just visual beauty: using simple yet repeated hand movements, he examines the trivialities of everyday life, giving the observer a view of a little universe in our lives through tiny dots and dull ink.
