作品賞析
WANG Liang-Yin is skilled in using light acrylic paint to create images of tantalizing desserts that epitomize pleasurable and appetizing sweetness. The artist would employ these dessert-themed artworks to observe the transient and realistic elements behind desires and create an alternative means of life. Raspberry Pie shows a raspberry-covered pie that dominates the entire composition. WANG Liang-Yin believes that images of desserts would trigger our taste receptors, and thus employed dripping techniques to represent the process of melting. These dripping lines serve as a hint that despite their wonderful appearance and connotations, all desserts harbor elements of decay and sickness once it expires. WANG Liang-Yin hopes that this image would help reveal the truth about desires as well as the grievances they bring.
