CHEN Shao-Yen works by capturing the sight of an old boulevard, incorporating it as a layer of digital artwork to create a connection to evoke a sense of familiarity of a trip on the boulevard. The resulting work allows people to immerse themselves within the scene, overcoming the spatial and temporal distances. Calm Travel is a series that presents the sights from personal travels to convey a sense of personal and emotional harmony. Calm Travel- Temple Street presents crisscrossing lines like a watermark, using black and white tones to generate a blurred visage and an upward-looking perspective of a verdant, old tree with waving branches and a row of houses behind it.
