Artist Su Hsiao-Meng is good at creating woven metal works, transforming metal into lines that express emotions and tell stories, and giving new life to traditional metal crafts. This work is woven from copper and stainless steel wires, with different organic shapes resembling flower buds, vines, marine life, etc., expressing the abstract beauty of forms in time. The long, curved lines upend the impression of hardness that metallic materials usually give, and the openwork forms create a light, transparent feeling. When lighting conditions change on it, the vivid, delicate metal lines bloom into a complex full of vitality and changing color. Su Hsiao-Meng embedded her work on a reflective black acrylic board, so when viewers look at it, they can see their own reflection and the work at the same time, and develop a dialogue with the work.
