作品賞析
Lo Wen-Hsin is a keenly perceptive artist whose creative inspiration often comes from travel pictures and her own experiences of nature. When visual impressions, accompanied by other sensory memories, emotions, and thoughts, are triggered, the personal perception process is aroused, and the scenery gradually changes its form on the canvas as it presents the artist’s inner scenery. For creative media, Lo chooses fineliner pens, pencils, and charcoal pencils for drawing on either thin rice paper or hard-wearing watercolor paper. Her pen and pencil lines may be as soft as clouds or as powerful as a driving rain, as each line shows the trajectory and accompanying emotions of the creative process. In Southland, which depicts a dense stand of coconut trees, the outline and texture gradually emerged through repeated scribing, wiping, and polishing. The grey-white misty image leads the viewer into the tranquility of the union between reality and fantasy.
