HSU Can-Lin takes the change of lifestyle after the birth of his son as an opportunity to create. The daily interaction with his son gradually overlaps with his childhood memories, and the fleeting scenes become clearer and clearer. The inspiration for Blue Criminal No.2 comes from his trip to his hometown, Kaohsiung. On HSU Can-Lin's way to participate in activities with his son, the industrial street scenes and factories trigger his memories and nostalgia. The deep and black tones convey the heavy emotions and loneliness that cannot be found in the past. The floating cicada in the bowl symbolizes innocence, and the blue color represents the childhood uniform. The dissolution, weathering, and fading of the cicada are like the loss of innocence.
