作品賞析

DONG Hao-Yun uses horizontal and vertical strokes to construct the picture. The contrasting shades of light create the atmosphere. In The Light of Evening Mist, the right side expresses bright light with warm colors of yellow and orange tones; the left side uses black and blue tones to shape the dark and dull feelings. As the title of the work, viewers can appreciate the sunset. In the process of creation, DONG Hao-Yun explored the subtle relationship between shape and meaning, abstraction and figuration, entity and mind. With lines and contrasting tones, the divided picture presents rich oily layers in the rhythm of light and shadow.
