CHEN Nien-Tzu’s works combines the physical nature of mind and expression of self-concept, mainly applying highly-skilled line drawing technique to express the intangible Zen. Light-Ripples is painted in ink, it constructs a detailed and dynamic picture through dense and continuous strokes. A rock with comet-tail-like lines falls straight to the center, which causes ripples spreading outwards. This piece presents the free spiritual world within the limited painting space, giving a bright and natural feeling. CHEN Nien-Tzu adopts eastern painting way of expressing spiritual images, she is driven by a powerful inclusive force of the universe, guided by lines, where upon the picture emerges naturally.
