CHEN Nien-Tzu uses ink painting to convey her inner thoughts of the nature of the universe. In the work, Shifting Space, she starts from the lines of ink painting, using even and detailed ink lines to outline many coils and interlace a picture full of inspiration. Every fine line is quiet but is also flowing with an enormous energy. The circular pattern is reminiscent of either the star ring in the vast universe or the Japanese dry landscape garden that leads to contemplation. It is both an observation all things and presentation of a deep inner philosophy. CHEN Nien-Tzu uses creation to self-test and improve, and through the clear and plain picture, simultaneously depicts a state of focus and the active emotions and strength.
