Find Polaris by YEH Tsai-Wei is made with animal glue and mineral paints in a mild tone. With the elliptical runway of the campus as the background, the girls hold telescopes on the flag-raising platform looking at the constellations of Cassiopeia and the Little Bear arranged by succulents. The succulent plants are the reflection of the girls themselves, bizarre, from another world, chubby bodies with dignity. Succulents need sufficient illumination but not overexposure, with just fine amount of water, all these details indicate that these succulents appear affable but have their rules, beneath the plump appearance, they hide their sensitive nerves just as with the girls. Girls in the white cage seek both Polaris and themselves.
