LIN Shih-Yung uses his own "banana man" as a metaphoric symbol in his painting. In the work, According to the Chart to Eat-5, the picture shows an extremely gloomy scene, where the land is dry and the sky is dark. A woman wearing a neat suit but in bare feet is standing alone here. However, the scene of the playground is just a false appearance of joy. A banana man with by a banana face is like a reflection of family characters. LIN Shih-Yung subtly expresses the dogma and experience from a big family and uses creation to re-examine and express any unrest from the heart.
