HUNG Shih-Tsung’s “Zhouzhuang Hall A00_7876-2_1” is a series of photographic works that feature displacement and post-editing, and represents an attempt to deconstruct spatial images by using the concept of reductionism for the purpose of reconsidering the relationship between people and space. The art conveys a front door hallway of a common residence in the ancient town of Zhouzhuang. Hung Shih-Tsung deliberately removed wall surfaces and floors from the image to leave only items in the space. Without the background, every item stands out as independent entities, giving the audience the freedom of imagination. The independent items highlight the unique nature of people living in traditional towns while showcasing the textures and landscape of local life, allowing people to appreciate and dissect the lifestyle aesthetics of interior designs from a different perspective.
