CHEN Kun-Feng’s artworks use light as a means to observe and investigate everyday elements and objects. Dust in the Light-8 uses light points to depict blurry urban scenery. The buildings and images in the composition are depicted using one single color tone, while the original outlines of the objects in the painting are distorted as a result of strong lighting like blurred images in dreamscapes. The spaces in the composition overlap and penetrate one another, representing the multi-layered montage that illustrates memories and mindsets. Light exists everywhere in the real world. CHEN Kun-Feng adopted light as the vector for memories to create an overlapping image that exists between reality and virtual worlds and to reflect upon the people’s collective projection about life.
