CHIU Duo starts from the most basic element of painting, tapping into figurative spaces and structures as his source of inspiration. Small experiences from everyday life were condensed to weave a tapestry of emotional dots, lines, and surfaces and create a pure mental space. Plant is composed of large, colorless blocks and lines created using rapid brushstrokes. Varying tones as well as the black and gray patches create a spatial realm that contains both virtual and physical elements. Smudge marks and spontaneous drips, splashes, and flows add to the rhythm of the entire composition.
