CHANG Hung-Ming is skilled in using watercolor as a creative media and has continued to develop his unique brand of artistic vocabulary, transforming his experiences and emotional states into a separate artistic world. CHANG Hung-Ming believes that trends are generated as a means of expressing the state of society or life. Are We the Same Piece of Sky is composed of three panels. The bigger panel at the top depicts a bluish-purple sky that is connected to the other two panels. Human figures and animals shown in the bottom panels are looking heavenwards, leading to the question whether these people, standing at different locations, are indeed looking towards the same sky. By creating this fantasy world, CHANG Hung-Ming attempts to dispel the chains that bind him to the realistic world.
