PAI Mu-Chun is skilled in oil painting. Despite using realistic brushworks, the special composition of her works and clever arrangements of color tones provide a surrealist atmosphere. Sterile Space shows a lonely island in the azure ocean. Mists shrouding this island add to its isolation. Transformations of simple colors and layers were used to create this fantasy. PAI Mu-Chun hopes that this work will remind people to preserve the positive aspects of human nature while we advance from an agricultural society towards modern civilization, using a sterile space to preserve fleeting moments of perfect beauty.
