CHEN Yi-Ru’s works are based upon fleeting snippets of everyday life. By meticulously observing things around her, CHEN Yi-Ru has generated her own artistic language and imagery to escape from the confines of the outside world, creating a jigsaw of memories with overlapping puzzle pieces of time and space. In Planet, CHEN Yi-Ru has used different colors to create a bird nestled upon a plain of gentle, sweet color tones. Relaxing colors have been used to construct a dreamlike world that neither enforces confinement nor present trouble thoughts. The gentle composition does not require thinking or effort. A simple glance is all you need to retain snippets of your wonderful moments. In this uninhabited landscape, a pleasant and delicate artistic approach was used to gather happiness and create a sweet collage of CHEN Yi-Ru’s personal kingdom of joy.
