CHEN Yi-Ru’s works are based upon fleeting snippets of everyday life. By meticulously observing things around her, CHEN Yi-Ru has generated her own artistic language and imagery to escape from the confines of the outside world, creating a jigsaw of memories with overlapping puzzle pieces of time and space. Holy Land shows an empty, aquatic blue swimming pool decorated with patches filled with brilliant and warm color tones. A pleasant and delicate artistic approach was used to gather happiness and create a sweet collage of CHEN Yi-Ru’s personal kingdom of joy.
